The Detroit Tigers beat the New York Yankees 6-4 at Yankees Stadium on Tuesday night.  The Tigers got the best of Yankees starter Phil Hughes as they scored all six runs off the Yankees starter.

Curtis Granderson and Gary Sheffield both hit home runs in the third inning.  Granderson’s home run was a solo shot while Sheffield’s home runs was a two-run shot.  Sheffield along with Magglio Ordonez finished with two RBI.  Granderson and Placido Polanco both had one RBI.  Pretty much all the damage for the Tigers came from the top of the lineup.

Kenny Rogers tossed six innings of six hit baseball to pick up the win.  Rogers did give up two runs as he picked up his second win of the season.  Todd Jones closed the game to get his fifth save of the season.

The Detroit Tigers hit five home runs as they crushed the Texas Rangers 8-2.  I should say they crushed them on the scoreboard, but the game should have actually been a lot closer as the Rangers left 19 runners on base.  I will give the Tigers credit however, they did get out of some big jams in the game.

Jeremy Bonderman pitched 4.2 innings to earn the no decision.  Bonderman struckout seven batters but also walked seven.  Two earned runs got put on the scoreboard against Bonderman.

Zach Minor came in to pitch after Bonderman and threw 3.1 innings and did not allow a hit as he struckout three batters.  Minor earned the win in the game.

Magglio Ordonez led the Tigers at the plate with four RBI.  Ordonez connected for two home runs as he went 3-4 at the plate.  Curtis Granderson, Brandon Inge, and Ryan Raburn all hit solo home runs in the game as well.  Edgar Renteria also had a RBI.

Evening without Frank Thomas on the big hitters list for the Toronto Blue Jays, the Detroit Tigers weren’t able to pull this one out.  The loss put the Tigers at a major league worst record of 6-13 for the season so far.

Clete Thomas went 3 for 5 with a RBI giving him 4 for the year and Miguel Cabrera picked up his 13th RBI with a double off of A.J. Burnett.

Nate Robertson came out tonight and pitched five innings for the Tigers before they brought in bringing in Zach Miller and Bobby Seay to finish the game.  This loss puts Nate Robertson at 0-2 for the season.

The Tigers will play the Blue Jays once again on Monday and try to salvage a tie in the four game series.  The Tigers are really going to have to battle if they want to pick up their seventh win of the season however.

The Detroit Indians got smashed by the Cleveland Indians by the score of 11-1 on Thursday night.  Justin Verlander remains winless so far in the 2008 season as he drops to 0-3 on the season.  He allowed five runs and seven hits in five innings.

The lone RBI for the Tigers came of Miguel Cabrera’s bat when he his a sacrafice fly in the sixth inning.

It was a bad game all around for the Tigers.  I really thought they would start playing some good baseball after winning their last two games, but I was mistaken.

There you go Tigers fans!  That is the Tigers offense that everyone thought they would see when the season started.  The Tigers put up 13 runs on the Cleveland Indians as the Tigers won 13-2.  Seven runs in the fifth inning proved to be too much for the Indians lol.

Miguel Cabrera had a huge night as he went 4-6 with five RBI including a two-run home run in the second inning.  Edgar Renteria also had five RBI for the Tigers.  Ryan Raburn and Brandon Inge also chipped in with one RBI each.

Armando Galarraga pitched 6.2 innings to pick up the win.  Galarrago only allowed one hit and two earned runs.  Jason Grilli pitched the final 2.2 innings and only gave up two hits.

I thought the Tigers would turn it around, and they have the last three games.  I look for them to continue doing it, and get right back into contention.  What do you think Tigers fans?

Wow, what a first win at home for the Detroit Tigers!  The Tigers came back and scored six runs in the bottom of the 8th inning as they went on to defeat the Minnesota Twins by the score of 11-9.  Maybe this win will give the Tigers a little spark and they will play some better baseball.

Ivan Rodriguez and Carlos Guillen both had three RBI’s for the Tigers.  Plácido Polanco, Magglio Ordonez, Miguel Cabrera, Edgar Renteria, and Jacque Jones all chipped in with one RBI each.  That is production up and down the lineup, one thing the Tigers haven’t had all season long.

Francis Beltran picked up the win for the Tigers as he pitched in relief.  Todd Jones picked up the save which was his second of the season.  Starting pitcher Jeremy Bonderman pitched 6.1 innings and allowed eight hits and four earned runs.  Not the start that Bonderman was hoping for.

It was nice to see the Tigers come back and pick up the win.  I really think this win will give them some momentum and they will have a great week of baseball!

The Detriot Tigers were unable to win their second game in a row as they lost to the Boston Red Sox by the score of 12-6 on Thursday night.  Big innings by the Red Sox really hurt the Tigers and they were not able to come back from such a big deficit.

Nate Robinson took the loss for the Tigers and his record now stands at 0-1.  Robinson threw 5.1 innings and gave up eight hits and four earned runs.  Zack Minor, Francis Beltran, and Yorman Bazardo all gave up earnd runs as well as they pitched in relief of Robinson.

The Tigers were led by Brandon Inge and Placido Polanco who both had two RBI for the Tigers.  Magglio Ordonez also had one RBI on a solo home run in the 7th inning.
